October 3, 2008 | Fine Line Minneapolis, MN. It is the day after playing our first show at the Fine Line. We arrived around 5pm to load in. Three out of the four of us got ticketed by the lovely city of Minneapolis. Talk about a fun start to the night. We did have fun playing at the Fine Line. There were a few people who tried to come to the show only to find the street was blocked off by MPD because of a big bust of some kind happening outside the Fine Line. It was unexpected but funny. When we were loading up a squad car pulled up to us and added to our interesting night. He asked us if we saw any shots fired in the alley we were loading in. To say the least we didn't see any bullets flying past our guitars so we looked around and said no. After he left we practically threw our gear in and said "Let's get the bleep out of here before we do see these shots they are talking about." Before you guys worry about coming out to a show let it be known I have been to the Fine Line many many many times and this was the first time I have ever seen anything remotely like this. WE LOVE THE FINE LINE and would love to see you guys come to another show at the Fine Line. Just part of living in the big city. On the bright side we have a fun little story to tell. :) |
